AbstractRemote work has experienced a remarkable surge in recent years, propelled by technological advancements and transformative global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper comprehensively analyses remote work trends and their influence on employees' performance, incorporating secondary data from reputable agencies, government sources, and literature searches. By synthesising diverse research findings, it investigates the advantages, challenges, and outcomes associated with remote work arrangements. The paper explores the pivotal role of technology, organisational culture, and individual characteristics in shaping remote work dynamics and their consequent effects on productivity and well-being. By offering insights gleaned from a synthesis of existing literature, this paper contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of remote work and provides practical recommendations for optimising employees' performance in remote settings.
